Harvest August 7 at Charron

Harvest time is now here and we will once again be welcoming friends of Charron Vineyards to help with the picking. The date of the harvest is Saturday August 7.

No experience or tools are necessary, but if you are an experienced picker, feel free to bring your own shears. Even though we are at 4000+ feet, it can get pretty hot as the day progresses - you might want to bring some sunscreen and/or a hat, if only to shade yourself on the deck after the harvest!

We start around 5am (or as early as you can make it! ) and hope to finish the picking around 1pm. Don’t be put off by the early start time. It looks like we will have plenty of grapes to pick this year so even late arrivals can join in.

We also need help with prep work on the Friday (August 6) preceding harvest with activities such as removing bird netting and setting up equipment. If you can make it on Friday, please let us know.

It's a lot of fun and you will experience firsthand the start of the production of this year’s release of White Merlot. We might even start a batch of red Merlot this year if we have sufficient grapes. You will have to wait a couple years to taste the red, however.

Lunch & refreshments will be provided.

If you would like to join in the fun for either the picking or the setup, please RSVP to info@charronvineyards.com.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday August 7.
